Fiber optic attenuators are passive device widely used in fiber optic communications. It is attached to a connector and connects an adapter at the other end. This attenuator is fixed and unadjustable. The purpuse for attenuator is to reduce optical power to target value in optical links. There are different types, including SC, LC, FC, ST, etc.. The products attenuation is range from 1 to 30 dB, which are applicable for optical signal with wavelength ranging from 1250nm to 1620nm.
